| 内容記述 | ブラジル人は長野県の外国籍住民の中で最も人口が多く，異文化環境や長時間労働から来るストレス や食習慣の変化による生活習慣病などの健康問題が懸念されている．その保健指導に必要な情報を得るため，食習慣に焦点を当てた在日ブラジル人の生活状況の実態を質問紙により調査し，40人中29人から回答を得た．回答者の多くは，子どもや配偶者と暮らす若い３世で，滞在は長期化しているが，出稼ぎ感覚は持ち続けていた．料理は女性の役割であり，食材にはやや日本の影響が見られるものの，食習慣の大部分がブラジル的で，肉と生野菜の摂取頻度が高く，魚介類と和食の摂取頻度は低かった．自分の体型を男性は細めに，女性は太めに評価する傾向があった．体重測定の習慣を持つ者は少なく，喫煙率はブラジル在住の日系人より著しく高かった．これらの知見は，在日ブラジル人の文化的背景を尊重した効果的な情報提供や保健指導に活用できる． | |||||||||

| 内容記述 | Brazilian inhabitants, the largest alien population in Nagano Prefecture, have been found to be at risk for lifestyle-related diseases. These diseases may be caused by stress due to long, hard labor and changes in dietary habits which have resulted from being in a foreign environment. To obtain basic data for developing effective, culture-sensitive health care programs, we developed a questionnaire consisting of 50 questions; the majority were about life style, especially dietary habits. The questionnaire and the letter of request, with an explanation of ethical considerations, were first written in Japanese by the authors and trialed by a pre-test. They were then translated into Portuguese by a Japanese-speaking Japanese-Brazilian, and checked with back-translation by a Japanese who lived in Brazil and used the Portuguese language. In October 2005 the letters and questionnaires were distributed to 40 Brazilians living in small towns in the southern part of Nagano Prefecture; 29 individuals (11 males and 18 females) replied. Respondents were mainly young (76% in their 30's or 40's), 18 (62%) were Japanese descendants with 34% being Sansei (third generation) and 28% Nisei (second generation). Ninety percent were living with their children and/or spouse, and although many had stayed in Japan for quite a long time (average of 10.6 years), none were intending to become a permanent inhabitant of Japan. Their answers showed that: 1) cooking was considered to be a female role, 2) Brazilian ways of cooking and dietary habits were well maintained, i.e., meat and raw vegetables were eaten much more frequently than fish or Japanese food, 3) women tended to perceive themselves as fatter, and men as thinner, than their actual condition, 4) the practice of measuring body weight was uncommon, and 5) the percentage of habitual smokers was higher than in Japanese descendants living in Brazil. These results may be used to develop effective programs for the maintenance of healthy lifestyles of Brazilian inhabitants of Nagano Prefecture. Examples are the provision of information to women about healthy foods suitable for Brazilian cooking and the consultation by public health nurses, who, while respecting the cultural background of their Brazilian clients, may offer advice related to the promotion of health. | |||||||||
