For these purposes a self-rating questionnaire survey was conducted, and responses from 28 visiting nurses and 47 ward nurses were collected. Visiting and ward nurses showed a very strong awareness of conducting the following activities: communication with patients and families, patient/ family-centered care (visiting nurses); and pain and dyspnea care (ward nurses). In regard to the designated cancer hospital’s cooperation with visiting nursing, from self-rating questionnaire survey, the both types of nurses recognized the cooperation as issues. In region A, it is necessary to discuss specifically the practice of patient/ family-centered care and the way of cooperating with each other.
